Summary: The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability to provide direct care to patients by utilization of the Nursing Process in accordance with the established policies and procedures of WestCare Health System. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of other staff.
Education: Bachelor or Associate degree in Nursing.
Experience: Employment with Surgical Services, PACU, ICU or Emergency Department require minimum of one year acute care experience. One year of critical care experience is preferred.
Certifications: Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire and maintain thereafter. Labor & Delivery requires NRP certification within 6 months of hire. Mother/Baby and Women/Children units require PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move at least 65 pounds. Ability to see colors, see at least 1 mm squares. Ability to hear and distinguish heart, lung, and bowel sounds. Ability to reach overhead. Ability to remain calm, continue to function effectively and develop priorities during stressful situations. Ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal media. Ability to move an operate equipment and carry supplies. Ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Working Environment: Potential exposure to patients who may be physically or verbally abusive. Potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials. This position may require the use of personal protective equipment during several patient and equipment related activities. Occasionally exposed to noise and unpleasant odors. Often works long hours, participates in the call schedule which requires working during the evening and night hours as required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
